Rugby the town!

I do have to say that staying in Rugby was Dave's idea, for 2 reasons. The first of course had to do with the fact its only 2 hrs away from London, and the other was ..... of course. THE GAME OF ...
We stayed near the Rugby school, big old private school where (suppossedly) the game was started by a certain Master Ellis running with the ball!
Dave took lots of photos, the playing field where it all started, plaques around the place, statues of before-mentioned young man etc. We even went to the Rugby rugby museum!

The museum is where the Mr Gilbert set up a workshop out the back to make the famous gilbert rugby balls out of leather. This is one of the first made (note it is a lot rounder than now) and the other picture is of an actual pig's bladder that got put inside the first rugbyballs and blown up by mouth by the poor ball makers!
On the streets around Rugby town centre there are little plaques set into the footpaths with names of famous players. Here is our's!
