Yorkshire Dales

Well, we are on our way south, however first we have to go east! did a trip of the scenic kind across or through the Yorkshire dales to get to the M1. Not the quickest way to go, but it was gorgeous to look at. Was expecting to see my Heartbeat characters, or Mr Herriot emerge but no .... just lots of fields with stone walls (got told people volunteer in the summer to go around and fix up any walls that are falling apart! why? one has to ask???)

After that it was straight down the M1 to Rugby (the town). This took 3 hours on the M1, and was fascinating cause no one sticks to the speed limit (70 m/h) most were doing 80 or more. there are 4 lanes all going like mad, with trucks sticking to the far lane. Lots and Lots of trucks!
